Don't train the swing. Train the decision.
Elite hitters don’t react. They decide before tha ball is visible.
Speed wins
The ball arives before you can react.
Decide early
The swing starts before you can see clearly.
Train smarter
QShot builds real game-speed decision making.
Players train the swing - The game demands decision speed
Players track the ball too late.
Game -speed decisions happen earlier than practice.
Reaction drills train response, not prediction.
Elite hitters don't react. They decide before the ball is visible.
Read early cues
Read the arm. Hitters focus on the pitchers's arm before ball release.
Predict trajectory
Predict the pitch. The brain uses early cues to anticipate speed and location.
Decide before release
Decide early. The swing decision is made before the ball is fully visible.
How it Works
Occlusion training - How it works - Principle & purpose
Occlusion Training
The QShot occlusion training system is designed to improve baseball batting performance. The system has been used by the Dutch National Baseball Team for over several years.
MLB clubs including the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, have purchased QShot systems for professional batting training.
How it works
Infrared sensors are mounted on the pitching cage in front of the pitcher. When the pitcher releases the ball, the sensors detect the throw and send a signal to the occlusion glasses worn by the batter.
Before the pitch, the glasses are fully transparent. When the pitch is detected, the lenses switch from transparent to opaque, blocking the batter’s vision. This forces the batter to complete the swing without visual input.
Principle & Purpose
During a pitch a batter can still make physical and postural adjustments during approximately the first two-thirds of the ball’s trajectory. In the final third, such adjustments are no longer physically possible.
QShot training focuses on teaching the batter to read the pitcher early and commit to the correct movement pattern within that first two-thirds of the trajectory.
